Ocean Drive (Vice City)
The iconic Vice City promenade inspired by Miami Beach, full of neon lights and Art Deco hotels.
Vice City’s beachfront promenade
The waterfront strip of hotels, neon and flashy cars has been Vice City’s most recognizable image since 2002, and GTA VI’s first trailer brings it back with crowded beaches, heavy traffic and plenty of nightlife. On this map we place it where it matches that footage.
The real-world reference: Ocean Drive, Miami Beach
Ocean Drive is the oceanfront avenue of South Beach, in Miami Beach. It holds a large part of the Art Deco Historic District, hundreds of 1930s and 1940s buildings with pastel facades and neon signs, protected in 1979 and now the city’s biggest tourist draw.
In the original Vice City, that avenue was the heart of the Ocean Beach district, where Tommy Vercetti’s story began.
What is not confirmed
- That the street is called Ocean Drive in GTA VI.
- Which hotels and clubs will have accessible interiors.
- Whether classic 2002 Vice City buildings, such as the Ocean View hotel, return.
That is why we mark it as speculation: the look is in the trailer; the name and the details are not yet. More context in the Vice City entry.
