Vice City
The primary metropolitan center of GTA VI, set in the fictional state of Leonida and inspired by Miami.
Vice City is GTA VI’s big city and the heart of the state of Leonida. It is the modern version of the city the series visited in 2002, and its real-world reference is Miami.

What is confirmed
- It is the game’s main urban hub and one of Leonida’s six official regions.
- The trailers show it with packed beaches, beachfront nightlife, a downtown of skyscrapers and elevated highways.
From 1986 to today
The original Vice City recreated 1986 Miami, with districts such as Ocean Beach, Washington Beach, Vice Point, Downtown, Little Havana and Little Haiti. The new version is set in the present day: the reference is no longer the look of 1980s cop shows, but the Miami of social media, luxury high-rises and nightlife, something the trailers themselves highlight with internet-style video clips.
What is not confirmed
The official names of every neighborhood, their borders and whether the 2002 districts return have not been published in detail. The coordinates on this map are a visual approximation, and entries for specific neighborhoods that come from the community’s collaborative map are marked as speculation.
